DO CHIPMUNKS CARRY DISEASES?
Chipmunks is a cute animal judging from its appearance. However, they are categorized as rodent. As is known to all, rodents are likely to carry diseases.
Common chipmunk diseases include leptospirosis, salmonella, encephalitis, rabies, and the plague. These diseases can be spread via touching the chipmunks, their feces, or their urine, while others are transmitted indirectly via ticks and fleas.
Another major concern of for pest control is they can be disease carriers is their ability to host vectors such as fleas and ticks. These insect pests are much more likely to infect humans with chipmunk diseases than the rodents themselves.
